Can you work with me if I have too much debt, am behind or not paying?

These types of delinquencies are exactly what we are here for. We will be able to find you a comfortable budget that gives you the chance to pay back your creditors and still be able to meet your living expenses. If you are behind, most creditors will reage your accounts after 3 to 6 months. Reaging means your creditor will bring your account current.

Can you stop legal action and phone calls?

In most cases, we are able to work with the creditors to find a solution that is beneficial to both our client and the creditor. In these instances, legal action should stop. Phone calls should end as long as you continue to make payments through us.

What if a creditor calls me?

If a creditor does call you after you enroll in our Debt Consolidation Program, it is probably because you haven’t been making your payments. If you have been making your payments on time, then respond to the creditor confidently. Let them know you have enrolled in our program and are intent on making your regular monthly payments. If they request any information from you, go ahead and pass that on, but do not commit to any additional payments outside of our program. If the creditor is requesting extra money, please refer them to us.

Do most creditors work with you?

It is very rare to find a creditor that is unwilling to support our program. Because we make every effort to find an effective way to satisfy all debts, most creditors are more than willing to accept payments through our program.

Does it matter where I live to participate in the program?

No. Anyone in the United States can participate.

Is this going to ruin my credit?

First and foremost, we are here to help you straighten out your current debts. However, the creditor is responsible for how they report your credit status with them, and negative information may be passed on. Remember that negative information that is not true can be removed from your credit report, but if it is true it cannot be removed. The only way to reinstate a positive credit rating is to make regular monthly payments through our program.

Will creditors reinstate me when I complete the program?

Whether a creditor will reinstate credit privileges varies according to each creditor’s policies. Many creditors will reinstate credit privileges upon completion.

How long will it take to complete the program?

Typically, the program takes (36) thirty-six to (48) forty eight months to complete.

How do I make payments?

A money order or cashiers check should be sent every month. In order to guarantee that the creditor receives a payment on time, please send in your certified payment as early as possible. Your counselor will direct you when to make payments per your case.

What if I want to pay off early?

If you are able to comfortably pay off your debts, then it is encouraged. The payment must be made through our program, in order for you to receive a letter of satisfaction.

What is the best way to avoid the credit card trap in the future?

There are many reasons why people get in credit card trouble. However, a simple rule is never charge more than you can pay that month. Once your credit card payments exceed 20% of your net monthly income they are virtually impossible to pay off.

Why not just take a second mortgage or file a chapter 13 bankruptcy?

Our free Debt Consolidation Program will pay back 100% of your debt to the creditors. Participating in our program is easier than going through the hassle and stress of paying for a bankruptcy or taking out a second mortgage. Plus the interest rates are usually lower.
